Mumbai Indians finally chose Sandeep Warrier at price of 50 Lakh as the replacement of Bumrah who is injured and have been ruled out of TATA IPL 2023. Bumrah is out of action since August, 2022.

Sandeep Warrier has played in franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has played 68 T20 matches, 66 First-Class & 69 List A scalping 62, 217 and 83 wickets respectively.

Currently he represents Kerala in domestic cricket before playing for Tamil Nadu since 2020. Sandeep has also debuted against Sri Lanka in T20I in July, 2021.

IPL 2022 was the worst season for Mumbai based franchise as they finished last in the points table managing only 4 wins out of 14 matches. They will initiate their campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2nd April, 2023 at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru from 7:30pm onwards.
