IPL POINTS TABLE 2023

TATA IPL 2023 will set on the floor from 31st March, 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad where defending Champions, Gujarat Titans led by Hardik Pandya will clash against 4 times IPL Champions, Thala led Chennai Super Kings.

The cash-rich league will have 10 franchises based in Chennai, Bangalore, Gujarat, Mumbai, Punjab, Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Hyderabad & Rajasthan. 2 new teams have been included in IPL since 2022 after observing insane craze for the love of IPL across the country.

Top 2 teams on the points table gets an extra chance to qualify for the final.

  1. Winning team gets 2 points
  2. In case of Draw, both teams get 1 point each
  3. If two teams have same points then final rank is decided based on net run rate.

A new rule has been introduced with the inauguration of TATA IPL 2023 called IMPACT PLAYER.

Following are the rules for including Impact Player in playing XI :

  1. 5 Potential Impact Players will be names by both the teams
  2. Teams can use 1 Impact Player per match
  3. Impact Player can join the match in any over
  4. Impact Player has the right to bat & bowl his full quota
  5. Outgoing Player can’t rejoin the match again
  6. Overseas Player can be Impact Player only if the playing XI contains less than 4 overseas players

With the implementation of this rule, now teams will play with 12 players in total. This rule will definitely give more chances to the youngsters who don’t get enough chances to showcase their talents and skills.
