The dates for the Asia Cup 2023, which will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, have been released.
In the opening game of the 2023 Asia Cup in Multan,host nation Pakistan will take on debutant Nepal on August 30 while India will begin their campaign against Pakistan in a titanic encounter in Kandy on September 2.
Six teams will compete in the fifty-over event, which will be split into two groups of three teams each. The competition will take place from August 30 to September 17.
Group A includes India, Nepal and Pakistan while Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are in Group B. Pakistan will host four matches over two locations during the event, Multan and Lahore while Sri Lanka will host the other matches at Kandy and Colombo.
Group stage includes 6 matches and top 4 teams will make the cut for the Super 4s, top 2 teams from each group, A and B.
The final will be contested on September 17 in Colombo between the teams that finish first and second in the Super 4s.
